The nature reserve consists of an approximately 400 meter long gravel ridge. Here you have a view of a beautiful valley with wetlands and pastures that extend out to the Baltic Sea and Järnavik. In the area, the inland ice began to melt about 14,000 years ago and the highest coastline of the pent-up Baltic Ice Lake was at 65 metres above present sea level.
